‘1917’, Renee Zellweger, Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Pitt and South Korea’s ‘Parasite’, all win the 2020 Golden Globes


On January 5th, 2020, in Los Angeles, California, took place the 77th annual Golden Globes ceremony, which are awarded each year by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, to the best in cinema and television in the U.S.
The war movie “1917” won Globes for best picture drama and best director (Sam Mendes); Renee Zellweger (“Judy”) and Joaquin Phoenix (“Joker”), both won for best dramatic actress and actor; Laura Dern (“Marriage Story”) and Brad Pitt (“Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”), won for best supporting actress and actor, respectively; Quentin Tarantino was awarded the best screenplay Globe for “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”, and Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite”, from South Korea, won for best foreign language picture.
